LALALA!
Written on Mar 08, 2007 // Musing.S.Y was mentioning it on the plane the other day about this friend of hers that was contesting in 8TV Superstar, the American Idol equivalent . Prior to it, she pulled me along briskly to one of the contesting night at this studio in Shah Alam on one gloomy Saturday evening.
And we went, with plentiful large printed banners and glowing dildos sticks.
Miko, is her name that i was newly introduced to. She’s a cutie pie, isn’t she?
While the one hour teleshow was broadcasted live on air, I was quite aware of the possibility of camera framing around the crowds in any possible angle. It’s like bullet war, you got to be cautious on what’s going on around you, ready to duck in any spontaneous stash where possible to keep your face been on publicity.
I mean … At least not when i’m in wreck!
At the end of the day, instead of been an obedient audience that had his aural fixation, i was merely the defensive sentry.
It was a very soothing experience, untill …
He was strolling quite frequently in front of my sight, Just when the
target was framed in my camera and just when i was about to fire those
shots. He’s always in my view blocking my way! That cameraman!
This girl sat next to me was putting her compact Olympus camera down
quite relentlessly, sighing away defeatedly. My heart was melted.
Me: Stupid cameraman uh?
I wish my conversation was her only solace. She looked at me, exhaling miserably.
Girl: Can you believe it? Why can’t he just shoot with somewhere else?
Me: Heh, chill. Always look on the bright …side of life! wee woo wee woo! (singing)
I was singing that Tele-ad theme song on insurance. She gave a gentle snicker finally.
Girl: You are right. Always look on the bright side.
There was a dignified silence between us. Then…
Girl: You are seriously right. He’s got nice ass!
Me: …
Mary Mother Poppins…!!!
And Miko’s performance was undeniably well. I’m glad to hear you made it to the next round! You go girl!
Meanwhile, I shall sing in my shower!
Splashmilk is Mikel, an engineer (that doesnt quite epitomize his presentation),
a photography amateur (because he just want to shoot Angelina Jolie... naked), an insanely quirky graphic designer.
