NOOOOO!!! You don’t understand!!! That’s My Aphrodisiac!!!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
You used to love ‘em, i used to love ‘em, mostly everyone of us in our childhood has been gnawing and gnawing and more gnawing on those sugary, milky, superchewy WHITE RABBIT CANDY (大白兔糖) with corn starch syrup, cane sugar, butter milk and Oh! How could we forget that irresistibly edible thin film of rice paper!
But then again,
Just this morning, the radio has officially announced that this legendary candies has been charged with accusations by food authorities that it contains poisonous chemical such as Formalin. Thence, its been remorselessly banned from the country.
Banned?! I almost lost control of my car crashing it along the side rail…
Okay, i lied. It’s just a sheer shock for me.
That’s it… there goes another piece of our childhood… Why does every single thing nowsaday is lethal?! Earth… it’s not even safe a tad bit anymore…
Oh Bloody Mother Mary Poppins, I demand for an aphrodisiac!!!

I’m pouting… I’m utterly sad… I want my 白兔糖… hu… hu… hu…

I love White Rabbit too! If we hadn’t known about the milk scandal, we would’ve all been eating it obliviously anyway…I mean, it happened since 2005.
Sad. I quite like packaged Chinese food full of preservatives and a host of other evils.
I currently have these Malaysian biscuits containing milk (I thought it was Chinese, as among the Japanese and Korean text, I also found lines of quaint Chinese characters). Do you think that, with the possibility of imported ingredients, my Ego biscuits contain Chinese milk?

Kyme: It just isn’t safe nowsaday to eat anything anymore. Haih. I do hope that your Ego biscuit is safe from the list. As far as i know, try buying some newer stock from the known retail shop like Jusco or Tesco and those would be safe.
It’s a little bit of a waste but you can consider throwing the old ones out. But then again, if it hasn’t been discovered earlier, we would be consuming it happily now and still living on along with it, ain’t it?
God knows how many chemicals we had since day one anyway right? So yea… ROCK ON!
kyliemc: Now you see, now you don’t!
yienyien: So does everyone else, yienyien… i feel you… i feel you.
Simon Seow: Ah… spare me some tix will ya?
